Am Dienstag bin ich das letzte Mal vor Ort gewesen, als ich mich für den Besuch von „Thriller“ (mit meinem Schatz) schön machen ließ. Doch nicht nur zum Styling bin ich gern vor Ort. You are very fortunate to represent your country in the prestigious Mrs. World Pageant, one of the most important events in the world, to promote global peace, harmony and understanding. You will enjoy meeting wonderful people and engaging with the most professional pageant and television staff of them all. They will be devoted to making this activity a positive memory you and your family with cherish forever. You will have the time of your life! New Friends – Great Hotel – Wonderful Food – and be seen world-wide representing your country.
ARRIVAL: Contestant arrival for Vietnam is November 3 & November 4. At the Ho Chi Minh City airport, go to the Visa desk to have the Visa placed in your passport. This must be done before you proceed to Passport Control. A Mrs. World representative will be in the luggage area and will take you to the Windsor Hotel. Departure to Ba RiaVung Tau is November 5. The first official activity will be the Orientation Dinner November 5 at The Imperial Hotel. It’s a five star hotel and the newest in the province. The dinner calls for Dressy attire.
You should bring a competition evening gown – national costume – 3 or 4 party outfits – comfortable daytime clothes and a swimsuit; an official swimsuit and shoes will be provided. Bring two (2) inexpensive gifts (symbolic of your country) which you will present to dignitaries. Bring all medication you require.
SCHEDULE: The tentative schedule, as of today’s date, is as follows:
Wednesday . . . November 18 Interviews
Friday . . . . . . . November 20 Preliminary Competition
Sunday . . . . . . November 22 Final Competition/International Television Broadcast
Monday. . . . . . November 23 Departure
This schedule will expand to include various government and sponsor-related functions – taping of television segment s- social activities and various local functions.
REHEARSALS: Much of your time will be spent in television taping and rehearsals. Weather in Vietnam will be very warm, so keep that in mind when packing. Be comfortable. Aerobic outfits, shorts, comfortable tennis shoes, flats etc. would be sensible.
ROOMMATES: You will be assigned a roommate at random. We shall try to match you with someone who speaks and understands your language.
